Here are our Bird Ambassadors and some of the birds that we've rehabilitated and released over the years!
Morticia is a Black Vulture. She came to Wild Bird Rescue in May 2016 and was only a few weeks old. She has a condition known as Scissor Beak, meaning that her upper and lower beak don't come together properly. Due to this condition she will stay at Wild Bird Rescue as an educational bird. She has a 5 foot wingspan. She is one of our biggest eaters, consuming about 6-7 ounces of food daily.
Banshee is a Barn Owl that came to Wild Bird Rescue in Fall 2015. He and his siblings were thrown out of a deer blind by a hunter. They were brought to Wild Bird Rescue and rehabilitated but unfortunately Banshee could not be released because he does not have good depth perception. He is a permanent resident and Bird Ambassador for Wild Bird Rescue.
